My favourite collection of all the ones I've seen at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin in July was the one by isabell de hillerin. Her spring/summer 2014 is named 'relief' and represents elegance, strength and grace. The Berlin-based label is known for structured cuts and details with a touch of past traditions which could also be seen in the latest collection. The looks were clean, made of light fabrics that give them their elegance and easiness. Though the cuts weren't wide they still looked flowing due to the beautiful fabrics. A bright coral and blue were the colour highlights between shades of beige, black and grey. Designer Isabell de Hillerin works together with small handicraft businesses in Romania and Moldova to revive the local traditional craft. She wants to encourage the few producers of the traditional art of weaving that are left with her fashion. In her collections the traditional is mixed with contemporary design with the hope to counter the current loss of culture.
