During Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin this month rebekka ruétz presented her spring/summer 2014 collection. Unfortunately I missed the show because my train was delayed but nonetheless I'd like to share photos of the looks here with you. The collection is named 'SPLENDOR SOLIS - der Glanz der Sonne' and aside from that it focuses on three further subjects:
The Hourglass: sculpturally curved shapes that broaden the shoulders and hips to create the illusion of a defined waist.
The Gradation: short over long, long over short, the hemlines moves up and down like stairs.
The Ellipse: smooth breezy cocoon shapes create a soft option to the sharp contrasts of the formed silhouette.
Used materials include comfortable knits, finest silk, high quality composition leather and a lot more creative fabric combinations. A better part of the fabrics is either very shiny due to exciting material combinations or come with metallic twines. The colour shades reach from summer white to nude, yellow and mustard, bordeaux, violet and indigo blue to diamond black. Artful highlights like sparkling piping and shimmering black chakra prints on the inside of the clothes round up the colour palette.
