Here are my photos from the MALAIKARAISS show I attended last week. The presentation took place at the beautiful location Villa Elisabeth again. The collection is named 'THE WEIRDNESS OF BEING' and was inspired by Lydia Deetz, a character from the movie 'Beetlejuice' who was played by Winona Ryder. MALAIKARAISS interpreted 90's grunge elements in a subtle way and the colours of choice were petrol green, poppy red and warm browns next to black and white. I like the wide, flowing cuts that look feminine and very elegant yet at the same time very comfortable. Among my favourite looks were a black dress accessorised with a pink bag and wide-legged white trousers combined with a loose-cut black top, a look that reminded me of Marlene Dietrich. After the show guests were spoiled with yummy macarons by Makrönchen, Belvedere Vodka cocktails and champagne. MALAIKARAISS established itself as one of my favourite Berlin-based labels and I hope you my lovely readers like it too. I'll post some press pictures from the show within the next few days, stay tuned!
