Henrik Vibskov & Mountain Yorokobu‏

Fake Diamond Records has signed Mountain Yorokobu for 5 albums. Mountain Yorokobu features live recordings made by humans playing real instruments and embraces their challenges and flaws which counters the trend of the sterile and over-polished music created on computers that we are confronted with these days. Each Mountain Yorokobu session is essentially an improvised live performance that features varying musicians, concepts, locations and sounds, conceived and curated by renowned fashion designer Henrik Vibskov. For each of these sessions, Vibskov explores a different genre of music in a new location: from bluegrass to ambient; and from a museum garden to an abstract round room. Each session has its own unique mood, space and time. Vibskov usually kicks-off the session with a rhythm, a polytonic loop or an audio recording, and subsequently the assembled musicians use their instinct to develop the piece in a new direction. Henrik Vibskov has been playing the drums for over 30 years. He was first recorded by the Danish National Radio while playing with his first band at the age of 13. He has been performing around the globe ever since: from small clubs in Tokyo, to big festivals such as Glastonbury and Roskilde. Over the last 5 years he has been touring with the likes of Trentemøller and Mikael Simpson.
