At Design Miami / Basel 2012 renowned New York design gallery Cristina Grajales Gallery will present 1-100 designers Graham Tabor & Miguel Villalobos. Since 2009, Tabor & Villalobos have created hand crafted limited edition jewelry in their New York studio under the name 1-100. At the same time they've also been creating large sculptural jewelry as single commission pieces and editions of five. Each object created by Tabor & Villalobos is hand sculpted and cast using the lost wax technique in sterling silver and 18k gold. Their first solo sculpture show 'Hic et Nunc' was exhibited at Brachfeld Gallery Paris in 2010 and their first monograph Hic et Nunc will be available globally in 2012 published by Portal+, Australia. Cristina Grajales Gallery focuses on cultivating the work of emerging contemporary designers. The artists represented by Cristina Grajales Gallery work in a variety of areas within the larger field of design: furniture and lighting, as well as ceramic, metal and textile design. Their work constantly pushes, blurs and in some cases erases the line between art and design. Cristina Grajales Gallery maintains a full program of exhibitions and participates in international art and design fairs around the world. With over 20 years of experience, Grajales has established herself as a tastemaker and trendsetter in both contemporary and twentieth century design. Founded in 2001, Grajales lecture series titled Dialogues with Design Legends at the 92nd Street Y was the first of its kind. Grajales is a frequent guest lecturer, panelist and contributor to various publications.
