Markus Lupfer Spring/Summer 2012

With his spring/summer 2012 collection Markus Lupfer ventures to the wild side of life. While his designs so far had an urban and metropolitan air the new collection titled 'Everything Under The Sun' reflects the multifaceted tropical flora and fauna of remote Pacific islands. The colourful and summery playful pieces set light and lucent statements. Lupfer points out the wild romantic theme with his typical sequin motives that show exotic animals like toucans, parrots, hummingbirds, cobras and sharks. 'Everything Under The Sun' is an accomplished reminiscence by the designer of lace and leopard patterns. The eye-catching fur markings are used for key pieces like cardigans, tour jackets or leggings and accentuate the wild inspiration of the collection. Delicate, sheer lace is used in many different ways and gives tops, skirts, dresses and shorts a distinctive lightness. Floral patterns and Hawaiian prints complete the exotic, playful impression.
