Burberry Prorsum Fall/Winter 2011

As I've previously reported Burberry streamed it's fall/winter 2011 womenswear show to the widest audience yet, live from a venue in London's Royal Park of Kensington Gardens. Christopher Bailey named the collection 'Shrimpton' after Jean Shrimpton the supermodel of the early 60's - the era that inspired this collection. Like in the menswear collection the coat was also the key piece for the womenswear. It came in many different silhouettes that have been defined by a play with volume and bright colours like tangerine, raspberry and bright teal blue. The brands typical military details came in form of epaulets and leather luggage duffle fastenings. Flared leg trousers that are set to have a comeback weren't missing here as well. The collection was accessorized with bowling bags and clutches that matched the outfits. Below I attached a video of the show and one of Christopher Bailey talking about his inpirations. If you like the shows music you can get it on Burberry.com via iTunes technology.
