Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend

Marilyn Monroe is probably the most iconic woman of the past decade and her style is still inspiration for many women all around the globe. Her look has been copied countless times more or less successful - even by some of the most famous celebs of our time (I don't need to mention Lindsay Lohan's embarrasing nude pictures in Marilyn style or Christina Aguilera with the blond hair do who just looked like a cheap copy cat who's posing for pictures with tourists on Hollywood Blvd). Even Madonna copied Marilyn Monroe's 'Diamond's are a girl's best friend' performance from the movie 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' in her 'Material Girl' video. What made Marilyn Monroe so special was the natural glamour she radiated and the outstanding sexiness and feminity that made men fall for her and so many women want to be like her. Just think of the scene in which her dress was blown up by the wind. Though we all know that her life was far away from being glamorous and had to end in such a tragic way we all have the public picture Marilyn created for herself in mind when we think of her. One of the movies that resembles this picture best is 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' in which she played the materialistic Lorelei Lee whose eyes open wide for diamonds and close for kisses. If you're trying to add a little Marilyn to your personal style and don't want to overdo it and overcharge your bank account you might like to start with diamond rings for sale, the hair do or a white neckholder dress. For some inspiration I include some photos and the 'Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend' video here.
