World Cup Weeks - South African Fashion Labels: Suzaan Heyns

Before the tournament continues with the quarter finals tomorrow I decided to use the short football free break to introduce another South African fashion label here. Suzaan Heyns is a Johannesburg based label named after the designer who's known for her avant-garde aesthetic. Her work consists of highly constructed, tailored and sculptured garments that create a feeling of conceptual androgyny and hard edged femininty. Suzaan Heyns' main sources of inspiration are architecture, 1800's sketches and old medical instruments which give the brand its macabre yet structured sentiment. Below you'll find some looks from her fall/winter 2010 fashion show presented at Audi Joburg Fashion Week.
