Damir Doma Women's Fall/Winter 2010

Damir Doma's debut in womenswear has been long overdue. I've really anticipated his collection for fall/winter 2010 as I've always liked his menswear and couldn't wait to see what he has at hand for women and as I expected I wasn't disappointed. He stuck to his signature silhouettes and translated them perfectly into womenswear. The architectural pieces reflect the designer's usual pure aesthetics which is also emphasized by the colour palette of mixed greys, dirty green, chocolate, midnight blue and black. While the voluminous, wide pieces create an androgyn look there are also sheer fabrics, overknee boots and belted waists that add the femininity. The collection was a great start into womenswear and I can't wait what he'll show for spring/summer 2011.
