Kris van Assche Fall/Winter 2010 Menswear

The guiding line of Kris van Assche's fall/winter 2010 menswear collection was to revisit the core identity of KVA: a style that's masculine, balanced, essential and has integrity. This translated into baggy pants, loose fitting suits and checked shirts on the runway which can easily be transferred to the streets. From relaxed tailoring to sophisticated sportswear, the message always stays faithful to KVA’s values of sobriety, integrity and urban modernism. The baggy, layered looks were combined with heavy leather boots which completed the masculine look. One of the rules of style of the designer is: “A lot of fashion houses design for the catwalk and not the street—then you see the clothes on a regular guy and it’s a mess. Don’t disguise your personality behind labels; impose it on the clothes.” This collection proves that he sticks to his words.
