John Galliano went back to Christian Dior's roots with his haute couture for fall/winter 2010. Instead of drawing inspiration from Dior's work from the 1940's and 50's he's been going all the way back to the early 20th century. Elegant equestriennes in red and pink waisted jackets, white blouses and riding skirts with top hats, quirts and leather gloves graced the runway. They were followed by pastel cocktail dresses covered with lace and ruches and the end was marked by opulent satin ball gowns with embroidered corsage tops. It's an haute couture collection in the truest sense of the word: desirable, beautiful and eccentric!
