Burberry Prorsum Menswear Fall/Winter 2010

Burberry Prorsum's fall/winter 2010 menswear shown in Milan is a salute to the brands heritage - Burberry parade coats. The collection seems like an homage to the different variations of military outerwear: trench coats, parade jackets, pea coats, dress coats, double breasted chesterfields, parkas, aviator jackets etc. But not only the outerwear was military inspired, the shirts and knits came also in uniform style. Utility, patch pocket or officer's shirts and military rib, wool linen thermal, brushed teddy or military button knits were combined with slim fit trousers and 5-pocket denim's. The 'must' details like epaulettes and brass buttons perfect the look. The trousers and jeans were tucked into military boots. The outfits were accessorized with canvas and leather bags and canvas webbing military belts. The collection proves once more that Christopher Bailey can do no wrong. I like the collection (aside from the teddy fur :-S) and can't wait to see Burberry Prorsum's fall/winter 2010 womenswear. Let me know your thoughts!
