Kris van Assche Spring/Summer 2010

Kris van Assche's minimalistic spring/summer 2010 collection was a great translation of menswear elements into a womenswear collection. Kept in black, off-whites and shades from dark to pearl grey, the only colour accent were belts in camel. The looks focus on the tailoring with clean dresses that come with puffy sleeves, blazers with attached wrap tops and voluminous trousers that are tapered at the ankle. Elastic waistbands and slim belts highlight the waistline and create a feminine outline. The black boots will be an inevitable addition to everybody's wardrobe. It's elegance with a Flemish twist.

I've always loved the simplicity of KvA's line. Those shimmery dresses are my favorites. I love the fact everything's understated, but the details are still impeccable.
