Proenza Schouler Spring/Summer 2010

Proenza Schouler's spring/summer 2010 collection is a great mix of surf and downtown chic. Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez' presentation started with skirts and dresses that reminded of tied windbreakers combined with cool leather jackets and over-sized blazers. These looks were followed by non-hippiesque tie-dye dresses in different blues and lime colour. Then came very short dresses with animal prints like peacock and fishbacks on metallic coloured fabrics and ruffled skirts with subtle details like feathers, tinsel and sequins. The looks were accessorized with colourful wedges, rainbow chain strap handbags and cateye sunglasses. This cool and young collection is one of my favourites from the spring 2010 shows at NY Fashion Week.
