Otto von Quast

In 2007 two young women, Verena Kern and Britta Knüppel, decided to start kvast designstudio based in Berlin. They create for their own label Otto von Quast but also develop concepts for others. The product range covers everything from remarkable jewelry, wallstickers, award-winning furniture pieces, funny patches to printed bags and porcelain bowls. If you're on the lookout for something extraordinary then Otto von Quast is the right address. Little toy animals get transformed into jewelry by covering them with pure gold. The pendants of the Veggie Jewels line used to be real vegetables and the Porcelain Bowls series is made of cardboard fruit and vegetables bowls on which get brushed onto with liquid porcelain. Quirky textile patches to personalize and brighten up the mood of your favourite clothes and accessories come in a kit with patch, yarn and needle. Shopping bags handprinted with fairytale motifs will get you everyones attention next time you're heading to the supermarket and Faraday's Best Friend is a stylish way to get through a blackout.
