Raf Simons Spring 2010

Raf Simons' Spring 2010 collection is for the mature man who appreciates immaculately tailored suits and impressing leather coats. The show started with a basic black suit, then the collections silhouettes got deconstructed with exposed seams, displaced sleeves and linings worn as visible parts of the garment and reconstructed again with restrained overcoats, short sleeve shirts and large leather coats. There were also sleeveless jackets and coats and hybrid pieces like a knit top with a single-vented cloth back or a knit torso with cloth jacket shoulders. A main feature in this collection was the use of snakes, both in prints on pants, tops and shoes or as belts that were tied around the models. "High fashion is an addiction," said Simons and this is the way he sees the “high-fashion man”.
