Hugo Menswear Spring 2010

Artist Wolfgang Uhlig's seascapes were the inspiration for designer Bruno Pieters' spring 2010 collection for Hugo the avant-garde brand of Hugo Boss. Pieters showed a minimalist, sharp tailored collection with jackets, trousers and shorts in all different lengths, sleeveless dark suits and sheer collarless shirts under jackets with skinny lapels. The architectural collection was dominated by white and black but there was also a lot of blue and a bit of red, too. White and blue horizontally striped suits created a maritime feel. Less minimalistic than the rest of the collection was a group of jackets and coats encrusted with gold paillettes. The only shoes used were Jesus sandals in black and white.
