Dior Homme Spring 2010

With his fifth collection for Dior Homme, designer Kris Van Assche finally stepped out of Hedi Slimane's oversized shadow and showed clothing of his own vision. He introduced a new trouser - roomy at the thigh and tight at the ankle. Transparent shirts and light layering made the whole look elegant and recognizable. The jackets were left unlined and revealed the waistcoats and sheer shirts and knits underneath. Van Assche also injected a note of street hipness with sleeveless jackets, vests with floppy lapels and high-tops with laces wrapped all around the ankle.
