Bacca Da Silva

I recently discovered the fall 2009 collection of Bacca Da Silva, an up-and-coming fashion designer from Sao Paulo who's now based in San Francisco. He founded his label, that's named after him, in 2004 with the focus on incorporating international style and elements of luxury into every day life. Bacca views luxury as a way of living, and emphasizes this emotion in his pieces by combining fine fabrics and elements of hand work into expressions of style and global influence within each seasons' memorable collection. Building on an intrinsic awareness of the world around him, Bacca Da Silva has developed a creative, rich, vibrant and playful world of diverse influences, uniquely blending fashion and art. Whether ultra-urban or rural conservative, he easily weaves a variety of styles and cultural influences into his creations. The collection features luxurious fabrics and sharp cuts with attention to detail. A central theme are sequined tops that come in dark shades and that can easily be combined with elegant skirts or trousers as well as jeans. Bacca Da Silva is definitely one to keep an eye on.
