Alpha60 designers Alex and Georgie Cleary have launched their Melbourne-based label in 2002 alongside a Vivienne Westwood Retrospective at the National Gallery of Australia. The Alpha60 collection has flourished into a unique, inimitable label known for its fresh take on classic styles and cuts with popular culture as a constant source of inspiration. Influenced by iconic films Buffalo 66, The Ice Storm, La Haine, Twin Peaks and most notably Jean-Luc Gofard’s 1965 cult classic Alphaville. Fans of Alpha60’s designs include Klaxons, Bloc Party, Kings of Leon, LCD Sound System and Arcade Fire. The brand is available in Australia, Japan, the US and France and will hopefully be soon distributed in more countries.
